- While studying the subject one should invest time in the theory as well as on solving good questions keeping in mind the time barrier. Each question should be done in the stipulated time.
- Always start from BASICS because “without base, there will be no altitude” and “journey of a thousand miles begin with a single step”.
- Always BUILD UP RIGHT & APPROPRIATE BASICS because “once the track of train is being changed, it will go on only that track”. So always select the right track and follow that consistently.
- Never prefer solutions of questions before doing SELF-ATTEMPT at least five times till you get the right answer because “without falling you cannot stand at once”.
- Professionally and Meticulously: Analyze your shortcomings and strengths to plan your strategy. Accumulate your resources and utilize for best results. It requires strategic planning, positive attitude, hard work, careful guidance and loads of practice.
- Mocks, Mocks & Mocks!!! – The students should properly plan their time. Time management is a critical factor in preparation of CAT exam so that one can get through it. Student should develop habit of writing as many as possible tests.
- Remember you don’t need to crack every question to be successful. So don’t panic if you are not able to crack a few questions. Know your forte before you enter the examination hall. Understand well what you know and what you don’t know. This realization will help you strategize your test taking skills. First strike on the sums of the topic you are confident about and then move on to the topics you are least confident of.
- If you are not able to solve a particular question, leave it (since CAT has negative markings) but do look at its solutions & practice that many times, in order to become confident & unfazed of those questions in actual exam.
- Most important thing is that you should be having a time schedule as well as REGULARITY in studies.
- BE CONFIDENT while you are preparing. NEVER LOSE CONFIDENCE.
