CMAT Rank 6 Shashank

Shashank Patodia

CMAT Rank 6

Education – Engineering

Profile – Worked in TCS

How did you prepare for the exam?

I was preparing for about 4 months for the MBA entrance exams while working at Tata Consultancy Services.

How many hours you used to study?

I used to study 1 – 2 hours daily and used to balance my studies along with the job but used to spend most of my weekends studying.

Your score is very well balanced what’s the secret?

(Laughing) there is no secret. I used to study all the subjects equally never gave any extra weightage to an area. Even though I was good in quantitative aptitude I studied all the subjects. I will give same advice to students that don’t spend too much time on one subject which is your weak or strong area. A balanced approach to study is more important.

How did you prepared for the quant section as you scored 95 marks in that?

I was good in quant and used to practice quant on daily basis which helped me score more marks in that area. CMAT exam is more focused on Arithmetic, Mensuration and Geometry. Students should focus mainly on these areas whereas algebra and numbers is not that important.

How Cetking helped you?

Strategies and shortcuts provided by Cetking were very much useful in the CMAT exam. I will specially thank Rav sir for helping in GDPI stage. Cetking provide extraaaa edge to students which are very important to succeed.
