Goa Institute of Management or GIM is an autonomous B-School located in the State of Goa. It offers full-time MBA (PGDM)-Healthcare Management Programme (HCM) and executive MBA (3 years) and also is a resource centre for PhD programs in management for Goa University.

PGDM Core Previous year GIM Goa CAT, XAT, CMAT and GMAT cutoff XAT 80+ percentile CAT 90+ percentile GMAT 600+ score CMAT 99+ percentile and above PGDM (HCM, BDA and BIFS) Other three programmes (HCM, BDA and BIFS) are profile based. So there the cutoff can be between 75 – 80 %le for XAT and 80-85%le for CAT.

The selection process includes shortlisting of candidates on the basis of their entrance scores, past academic record and work experience. The selection process follows a specific weightage criteria based on the following parameters: • Entrance test score: XAT/CAT/CMAT (40%) • Face to Face Evaluation: (30%) • Past academic performance: (15%) • Work Experience: (10%) • Composite Diversity Index: (5%) All about GIM, We look at management education differently. Innovative Centers of Excellence

Center for Excellence in Research This is a faculty driven initiative that facilitates the creation, management and dissemination of knowledge. The philosophy of the center is “Generate knowledge through research that informs teaching and is informed by teaching” The objectives of the center are; to create an environment that engenders and fosters research, to support faculty members engagement in high quality research, to nurture critical thinking among students by the use of research driven pedagogy, and to develop institutional expertise and thought leadership in key areas.
Faculty members have published their work in international journals of repute like Journal of Product and Brand Management, Journal of Targeting, Measurement and Analysis in Marketing and Vikalpa amongst others. Case studies developed by faculty have been published by Harvard Business School, Richard Ivy and Babson.
Center for Social Sensitivity and Action This center was created to promote social responsibility within and outside GIM and reflects the educational philosophy of GIM which emphasizes the development of socially responsible managers. The GiveGoa initiative gives students an opportunity to serve less privileged communities and an opportunity to contribute to a more inclusive society. This initiative is designed as a course titled “Social Responsibility and Action”, acompulsorycomponent of the first year of the program consisting of a three -credit experiential project with a partner organizations(NGOs, Government bodies, schools, and institutions) and a one -credit classroom learning experience. Center for Innovation, Creativity and Design Thinking This center fosters divergence in thinking and a convergence of ideas for creative solutions. Students are encouraged tonurture and express their creative, innovative and design sense through theatre, music, dance, short film making and photography among other activities. Students experience and creative productions are shared on social media and other public platforms.
Center for Entrepreneurship Development This center fosters entrepreneurship by working with students interested in starting their own ventures, helping others set up ventures, assisting existing entrepreneurs to grow and manage their businesses better, supporting family businesses, mentoring start-ups, facilitating in the turnaround of existing organizations and incubating startups. The focus of the center is on entrepreneurship beyond self-employment, life-style entrepreneurs and skill based training or entrepreneurship.Entrepreneurship is also fostered through courses on entrepreneurship and venture finance in which studentsare encouraged to come up with new businessproduct and service concepts for future development.

Prestigious International Linkages

GIM has long standing partnerships with premier institutes abroard.GIM’s student exchange programs enable GIM students to study abroad for one term at some of the premier institute in Europe that are our partners and work in teams with international students. Students can attend terms at University of Antwerp, Belgium, Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics, Portugal and Hochschule Ingolstadt, Germany.
The Joint International Internship Seminar (JIIS) is an intensive two-week program held every year in the month of September and is collaboration between the University of Antwerp and GIM where students from both universities work together on projects It is an excellent opportunity to work across cultural differences within tight deadlines to solve real management problems.
To facilitate the development of cross-cultural perspectives, increase the ability to engage across borders and open up opportunities for students across the globe GIMconducts foreign language courses for students. Basic courses are offered in French, Portuguese, German, and Spanish in collaboration with Alliance Française de Goa, InstitutoCamões, Panjim, Indo –German Educational and Cultural Society & Communicare, Goa
