ILS seats in MBA CET Institute level seats in Mumbai based colleges
Some percentage of seats (10% or 20%) in most of the MBA program are institute level seats and are offered on merit basis to open and other category students. Students meeting the eligibility criteria can apply for these seats after submitting an application individually to the college. Admission will be granted subject to availability and merit at the discretion of the Management. College might charge application fees for the Institute level seats will be the same as fixed by Shikshan Shulka Saimti for the given year.
Candidates who had appeared for CAP rounds, but could not secure admission through earlier merit lists, can apply for Institute Level Seats. Other candidates who had not appeared for CAP may also apply with valid scores of national level test ( CAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT, CMAT) along with copies of relevant certificates but this rule changes from college to college.
All applications for Institute Level Seats must be received by the institute on or before the deadline date decided by the college. Applications may be sent through email or courier or submitted in person at the colleges. All candidates applying for Institute Level Seats might have to appear for GD/PI to be held at the college. To conduct gdpi or direct admission depends on college’s descretion.

Guidelines for the admission process to be carried out for the Institute Level/Minority Seats:
• The Director/Principal of the respective Un aided Management institute shall invite applications for the seats available by giving publicity in at least two newspapers and on the website of the Institute.
• Information brochure/prospectus of the Institute, which specifies rules of admission, should be published well before the commencement of the process of admission for the Institute Level/Minority Seats. All the information in the brochures should also be displayed on the Institute’s website.
• Aspiring candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria shall apply directly to the Director/Principal of the respective institute for admission.
• These admissions will be made in a transparent manner and strictly as per the merit of the candidates who have applied to the institute and are eligible as per rule.
• After admitting the MAH‐MBA/MMS‐CET candidates, If the seats still remains vacant then such seats shall be filled from the candidates who have appeared for CAT (conducted by IIMs) / CMAT/ GMAT (conducted by GMAC, USA)/ MAT (conducted by AIMA) / ATMA (conducted by AIMS) / XAT (conducted by XLRI).
• If the seats still remains vacant then such seats shall be filled from the candidates who have appeared for CET conducted by the agency (including Association of all colleges of a particular type in the State) approved by Pravesh Niyantran Samiti, Bandra (E), Mumbai‐51 for the academic year.
