Main Goals Of Your Plan

CAT Exam
CAT is the most challenging management entrance exam and you need to have a comprehensive game plan to perform well n this exam. Any plan becomes successful only if it is based on right goals. And here are some main goals to make your plan comprehensive:
  • Completely know how your exam is going to be. Number of questions, time limit, importance of chapters, negative marking etc. These details are important when you would need to make tough choices.
  • Divide your preparation into small chunks. You can go with the subject wise preparation. But do not rush through your subjects; be calm and concentrate.
  • Set daily targets and try to achieve them. Regular assessment on how you are doing on each chapter and overall syllabus should be done.
  • In case you miss out on your plan or spend days without preparation (due to sickness, family holidays or functions), re-planning should be done to ensure we make up for the lost time.
  • Make a chapter wise list of important formulae and important points given in the books for easy learning and retention.
  • Revise and Re-Revise. Just a single revision is not enough for qualifying in entrance exams like CAT. Revise your chosen books as many times as you can. At least 3/4 revisions are must before you start taking MOCK Tests. Do NOT buy too many books. It’s better to read 1 book 10 times than reading 10 books one time.
  • Develop speed while solving the problems. One should be able to solve each question in one minute on an average.
  • Attempt sample questions before appearing in the actual examination. This way you will have a feel “for what CAT Exam looks.” Attempt as many sample papers and previous year’s papers as possible.
  • If you are on track of your strategy, you can occasionally refer back to important topics or to topics you find difficult.
  • Train your mind and body for the exams so that you are in the best of your spirits for the exam day. Earlier the training start the better it is. This includes physical exercise and mental makeup. Exercise daily, eat good food and stay positive.
  • Don’t take unnecessary tension, remember, tension is inversely proportional to performance. Be positive and confident.
  • Eat well, sleep properly and stay healthy.
Be Regular! Nothing Beats That! All The Best!!
