TISS Common Entrance Test

Written test in ONLINE format will be held in January, in 25 centres in all parts of the country. The ONLINE test is of objective type and even those with a rudimentary knowledge of working with a computer can take the test.

For a demonstration of the online exam click here. Candidates who have already filled in the application form will soon be given a provision to change the mode of examination, please keep visiting this page.

In case a candidate desires to do the test on paper, he/she must indicate this in the application form.

The objective test will have questions related to Social Sensitivity; Knowledge on Contemporary issues; Analytical Ability, and Logical Reasoning.

Comparison of Online and Paper-based Entrance test.

You will read the objective type questions on the computer screen. You will have a printed question paper.
The answer options will be displayed along with each question on the computer screen. You will be given a separate OMR  answer sheet.
You have to simply click the correct answer option using the mouse to mark your answer. You have to mark your answer by darkening the appropriate circle on the OMR sheet which corresponds to the exact question and answer option. Please read instructions regarding this on the answer sheet and make sure you do not mark outside the circle or darken only part of the circle.
To change your answer for any question you have to simply click the new answer option which you want to mark. The earlier option will get unmarked automatically. To change your answer for any question you have to first erase the mark that you created on the answer sheet completely and then darken the appropriate circle on the OMR sheet which corresponds to the exact question and new answer option. If you do not erase the earlier mark correctly your answer will not be marked  correctly.
You will see a timer on the computer screen which will enable you to keep track of the remaining time. N/A
You will be able to easily navigate back and forth between questions.You will also be able to review the list of questions and jump directly to a particular question in the list. N/A
