MAT 2024 May New Pattern
AIMA MAT has announced a revised pattern for the MAT 2024 May Exam, reducing the number of questions from 200 to 150 and shortening the total exam duration to 120 minutes. The 2024 May Exam is scheduled to take place from May 19 to June 2, 2024, and will be conducted in three different modes. The MAT Exam is a crucial national MBA entrance test accepted by over 500 MBA colleges in India. It is conducted four times a year in February, May, September, and December, using three modes: Computer Based Test (MAT CBT), Paper Based Test (MAT PBT), and Internet Based Test (MAT IBT). AIMA has released the MAT Schedule and Exam Pattern. Please refer to the dates below.
The revised pattern for the MAT 2024 May Exam, as released by AIMA MAT, is as follows:

Key Points to Note
- Total Number of Questions: 150
- Exam Duration: 120
- Each of the 5 sections will have 30 questions in MCQ format
- Total time limit to solve is 120 minutes.
- Individual time limit for each section has been suggested by AIMA
- Candidates can move from one section to other within overall time limit
- Only 4 sections in MAT exam will determine the percentile and merit position
- Score of 5th section ‘Indian and Global Environment’ will be separately reflected in MAT score card but will not be taken into account to calculate the MAT percentile
