Question consists of five statements followed by five conclusions. Consider the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions does logically follow from the given statements using all statements together.

Statements:
Some physics is science.
Some science is chemistry.
All chemistry is chemical.
Some chemical is math.
All math is space.

Conclusions:
(a) All physics being chemical is a possibility.
(b) All science being space is a possibility.
(c) Some science are maths is a possibility. 
(d) Some physics are space is a possibility. 
(e) Some chemical are physics is a possibility.

 

Solution
For such questions, you can take the help of Venn Diagrams. On the basis of the given statements, you should draw all the possible diagrams, and then derive the solution from each of these diagrams.  

 

Syllogism
An instance of a form of reasoning in which a conclusion is drawn from two given or assumed propositions (premises); a common or middle term is present in the two premises but not in the conclusion, which may be invalid (e.g. all dogs are animals; all animals have four legs; therefore all dogs have four legs ).
