IIM Amritsar has released its Placement Reports of both the batch of 2019-2021 (summer internships) & the Batch. Here’s the in detail highlights of the institutions placements.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE: Indian Institute of Management Amritsar 

(IIM Amritsar) is a Public Business School and one of the prestigious Institutes of National Importance located in Amritsar, Punjab, India established by Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2015.[5] It is one of the young members of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) Umbrella established in 2015. It was inaugurated by Surjit Singh Rakhra, Minister of Higher Education and Languages, Punjab on 6 August 2015.

In a fitting conclusion to a glorious academic year 2019-20, IIM Amritsar concluded 100% final placement of its MBA-04 batch, Even amidst a slight economic stagnation throughout the year. The key metrics continued to display an upward trend once again this year,

The institute, despite the increase in the batch size by 50%, managed 100% summer placements of its fifth batch, while outperforming all its past benchmarks.

HIGHEST stipend:  Rs. 2,50,000, a 25% leap over last year

AVERAGE stipend for the top – quartile of the batch :  Rs. 1,35,357

AVERAGE stipend:  Rs. 62,572

PROMINENT RECRUITERS: ICICI Lombard, Cipla, Landmark, L&T, Nielsen, CRISIL, GroupM, etc.

ROLES OFFERED: Business development, operations and analytics, supply chain, finance, and market research

FINAL PLACEMENTS OF THE BATCH 2018-2020

Prof Arun Kaushik, chairperson, placement, IIM Amritsar, said, “Like previous year, we had a large batch size of close to 100 students once again this year, which resulted in addition of new quality recruiters to our existing placement contacts. We have consistently achieved 100 per cent placements because of the trust we have gained and maintained over the last three years in terms of providing quality talent pool to our recruiters.”

HIGHEST SALARY:  Rs.40 LPA, marking a 90% YoY increase

AVERAGE SALARY for the top – quartile of the batch : Rs.17.86 LPA ,witnessed a 15.15% growth as compared to last year

AVERAGE SALARY: Rs.12.61 LPA, a modest increase over the last year

The placement drive saw a balanced mix of offers for all the management domains like marketing, sales, and finance, along with some noteworthy offers in the operations domain. The institute, for the first time, witnessed a healthy spike in advisory & consulting roles offered to the students from three of the Big Four accounting firms
