CMAT 2021 was conducted late on March 31, 2021, in 2 slots. In 2021, CMAT 2021 Exam Pattern was revised with the introduction of a new optional section on Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Hence, CAT 2021 Question Paper was divided into 5 sections carrying 25 questions each Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The exam duration was 180 minutes (+ 30 minutes for the optional section).

- CMAT 2021 GA General Awareness was the most difficult with maximum questions from government schemes and current affairs.
- CMAT 2021 Quant & DI was of Medium difficulty with a few tricky questions.
- CMAT 2021 Logical Reasoning was relatively easy but lengthy.
