IIFT Registration 2018
IIFT 2018 exam registration process for MBA (IB) 2019 admission closed on September 24, 2018. IIFT 2018 Exam Registration and Application last date was extended to September 24, 2018 from earlier September 14, 2018. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) had received requests from many flood affected parts of the country especially Kerala, Bihar, Assam, Uttar Pradesh and other areas to extend the last date of registration. Acceding to these requests, the last date for IIFT 2018 exam was extended by 10 days to September 24.
The IIFT registration process is online and the registration and application fee is Rs. 1650/-. IIFT has opened the Application Details Edit facility for the IIFT 2018 Exam to be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018. You can edit limited details in your IIFT 2018 application form by entering your IIFT registration number and password:
The IIFT Registration 2018 remains an Online process as was last year. Prior to that IIFT Exam Registration was available both in Online as well as Offline mode. In fact the IIFT Registration 2018 is for the MBA (IB) course 2019-21 batch admission. Accordingly it is IIFT Registration 2019 for MBA (IB) 2019 admission through the IIFT entrance exam 2018.

- IIFT 2018 Registration dates may change by a few days
- IIFT Exam 2018 Registration is available only Online. The offline IIFT Registration process has been discontinued by IIFT.
- For IIFT Registration 2018, candidates have to download the IIFT Registration Form alongwith IIFT prospectus from IIFT Exam website – IIFT.edu
- The cost of Prospectus and Application Form for IIFT exam 2018 Registration is one-time payment of Rs.1,650 (825 for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
- IIFT Registration 2018 Fee includes application screening and Entrance Test Fee. The candidates are not required to pay any other fee.
- SC/ST/PWD/OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates need to attach the requisite certificate with the Application Form at the time of submitting their IIFTRegistration form.

Click on “Apply Now” and choose the category under which you want to apply for IIFT Registration.
Second step: Complete basic details
Now Fill in the basic details required for registration and submit the IIFT 2018 Registration form. Once the IIFT online registration form 2018 is submitted, an application number will be generated and will be intimated through an email sent to your registered email id.
Third step: Use Application number
Log in to the IIFT 2018 Registration website using the generated Application Number mentioned in the email and Password entered by you while registering. Follow the links to complete the IIFT registration process.
Once completed, the intimation regarding successful IIFT 2019 registration will be sent to the registered email id.

Candidates completing online IIFT 2018 Registration form, are required to upload their scanned photograph and signature in .jpg / .jpeg format only. The prescribed file size is not more than 50kb each.

Once IIFT 2018 online registration process is complete, keep a print-out of the filled-in application form for your own record.

IIFT Eligibility & Application Fee
IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2018 has been released alongwith the IIFT Exam Notification on August 6, 2018. IIFT MBA entrance exam is scheduled on December 2, 2018 as paper based test. One of the key changes introduced in IIFT 2018 Exam Eligibility is the application of minimum cut offs in bachelors’ degree. IIFT 2018 Exam Application fee has been increased to Rs.1650/-.

IIFT Eligibility & Application Fee for Domestic candidates
IIFT Eligibility 2018 for domestic candidates for academic session 2019-20 has been slightly changed. Now the candidates with following qualifications have the IIFT 2019 MBA (IB) Eligibility Criteria and can apply for IIFT 2018 exam for admission to MBA (IB) 2019-21 batch
1. IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2018: Completed Qualification
The applicant must have recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline with 50% marks.
2. IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2018: Appearing in Qualifying Exam
The Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by 8th October, 2019
3. Age Limit for IIFT 2018 Exam Eligibility
IIFT Eligibility 2018 does not prescribe any minimum or maximum age limit. Accordingly, there is no age limit to appear in IIFT 2018 Exam.
4. Work Experience in IIFT 2018 Eligibility
There is no mandatory work experience requirement in IIFT Eligibility Criteria 2018. The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has not prescribed any minimum work experience as a component of IIFT Eligibility Criteria or in the admission process. Any fresh graduate with requisite percentage of marks is included in the IIFT 2018 exam eligibility criteria. However, in the final admission process, IIFT may award some weightage to the candidates who have work experience between one year and five years.
One of the key points in IIFT Eligibility criteria 2018 is that the admission of a candidate who joins the programme on provisional basis but fails to qualify in the Bachelor’s degree examination is liable to be cancelled.
IIFT 2018 Application Fee
IIFT 2018 Application form has been made available at IIFT website after release of IIFT Notification on August 6, 2018. IIFT 2018 exam application fee has been increased both for General and Reserved category candidates.

IIFT 2018 Application Form can be submitted by making payment of IIFT 2018 application fee online only. The IIFT application fee 2018 includes the IIFT application fee, Admission screening fee and IIFT 2018 Entrance Test Fee. Apart from this, the candidates are not required to pay any other IIFT application fee 2018.
Since last year, the offline submission of IIFT Application form has been discontinued. Therefore, now the IIFT 2018 application form is to be submitted online only.
IIFT Eligibility & Application Fee for International candidates
IIFT Eligibility 2018 for International candidates is not much different and the basic qualification is again a bachelor’s degree with required percentage of marks. The Application fee is US$85 (Rs.5500).
1. IIFT 2018 Eligibility on Residential Status
A candidate who is a resident outside India for a period of not less than 18 months as on 31st December 2018 and remains outside India during the IIFT examination window qualifies for the IIFT 2019 MBA(IB) eligibility criteria.
2. Documents Required to Satisfy the IIFT Eligibility 2018 as International Candidate
Following documents are required to satisfy the IIFT 2018 exam eligibility from the International candidates:
- The Indian nationals who are living, working, studying abroad should produce with application a certificate from the Indian Embassy/High Commission/ Consulate of the country where the candidate is currently based, stating that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as on 31st December 2018.
- Foreign nationals need to have a valid passport/travel document from a country other than India.
3. Valid GMAT Score for IIFT 2018 Eligibility
The candidate should produce Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score which should be received by the Institute latest by 15th February 2019.
4. Foreign Nationals Must take IIFT 2018 Exam, if in India at that time
One of the key points in IIFT 2018 Eligibility is that the Foreign nationals who are present in India at the time of IIFT entrance test are required to take the IIFT 2018 exam.
5. International Candidates NOT Eligible for IIFT Admission 2019
- Candidates who have taken GMAT exam before 1st January 2017 are not Eligible for IIFT Admission to MBA (IB) 2019-21 as per the revised IIFT Eligibility Criteria
- If the candidate has appeared for any MBA entrance examination for that year in India (2018) such as CAT /XAT, His/her IIFT 2018 eligibility with GMAT score is not valid.
- NRI- Sponsored and Children of NRI candidates are not eligible under this category.
- The admission of candidates under this category is on the basis of GMAT score and interview. Shortlisted candidate would be required to undergo a Personal Interview at IIFT campus.
- The admission of a candidate who joins the programme on provisional basis but fails to qualify in the Bachelor’s degree examination is liable to be cancelled.

IIFT Application form last date for IIFT 2019 admission closed on September 24, 2018. IIFT Application form had to be submitted online only for admission to IIFT MBA (IB) 2019 -21 programme. IIFT 2018 exam Application fee is Rs.1650/- for General Candidates and was to be paid online. 10 more days were made available for the candidate to submit their IIFT application form. IIFT MBA (IB) admission Test is scheduled on December 2, 2018 as paper based exam. IIFT Application form was available on IIFT official website till evening on September 24 instead of September 14, 2018. The admission application process for IIFT 2018 exam was opened on August 6, 2018. The Director’s office at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade had also clarified:

Structure and Pattern of IIFT_IBSAT
IIFT Exam Pattern 2018
IIFT exam pattern 2018 is expected to remain same as that of last year. IIFT Paper pattern is based on paper-pen based objective type exam pattern. Over the years, IIFT exam pattern has remained paper pen based. Accordingly, IIFT 2018 paper pattern will also be conducted in paper pen mode and will be of 2 hours duration from 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon. IIFT paper pattern 2018 will be of a single session and the exam will be held in 20 test cities across India on December 2, 2018.

IIFT Exam pattern 2018: Sectional Composition
IIFT 2018 entrance test will consist of multiple choice objective type questions (MCQs). IIFT 2018 pattern is now divided into 6 sections comprising questions on Verbal Ability; English Reading Comprehension; General Knowledge & Awareness; Logical Reasoning; Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis.
Going by the IIFT exam pattern, out of the total 100 marks the distribution of marks in IIFT 2018 entrance with number of questions and weightage assigned to each of them, is expected to be on following pattern:

Key changes in IIFT 2018 paper Pattern
- The number of sections in IIFT paper pattern 2018 has increased to six from earlier four
- The Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension in the revised IIFT paper pattern have now become separate sections. Now the RC questions and English usage (Verbal Ability) questions do not compensate each other.
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning are also separate sections. Candidates cannot attempt and compensate DI questions to LR questions.
- Number of questions is reduced to 114 in IIFT 2018 exam pattern from earlier 123. There are no fixed number of questions in IIFT entrance test, their number may go anywhere in the range of 114 to 130. IIFT 2017 had 114 questions, IIFT 2016 had 123 questions while IIFT 2015 had 124 questions in MCQ format.
- Maximum overall marks in IIFT Paper Pattern are 100. A penalty of 1/3rd marks will be awarded for every wrong answer. The candidates therefore have to be careful to avoid this negative marking by choosing the answer options with well calculated thought process.

IIFT exam cities 2018 are 20 in number. Apart from the other IIFT exam cities, the IIFT 2018 test cities include the National Capital Delhi and most of the State Capitals. These IIFT 2018 exam centres in fact are the IIFT 2019 exam centres as the IIFT exam at these IIFT Exam Centres 2018 will lead to the MBA (IB) admission in 2019.

IIFT 2018 Exam Syllabus
IIFT 2018 exam Syllabus consists of multiple choice objective type questions (in English). Although there is no specifically defined IIFT Exam Syllabus, but going by the previous trend of IIFT questions, the IIFT 2018 Syllabus & exam pattern comprises the questions on English verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis.
In a major shift introduced last year in IIFT exam Syllabus, now the syllabus for IIFT Exam 2018 will have questions split in more number of sections. Not only this the IIFT syllabus for the increased number of sections has changed also as the revamped IIFT exam pattern has also changed the number of questions in each section.
Key Changes in IIFT 2018 Syllabus
- The number of sections in IIFT Syllabus 2018 has increased to 6 from earlier 4 Sections. Some of these sections will have increased number of questions.
- The Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension in the revised IIFT 2018 Exam Syllabus have now become separate sections. Now the RC questions and English usage (Verbal Ability) will appear in separate sections with their individual cut offs.
- Another change in IIFT Syllabus 2018 is that the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning are also separate sections. Candidates cannot attempt and compensate DI questions to LR questions.

Section-6: IIFT Syllabus for General Awareness (GK)
General Awareness (GK) in IIFT is one of the prominent sections and is considered as a tough section. It has minimum weightage but the sectional cut offs goes below 1 mark for this section. IIFT Cut off
Cut offs for MBA (IB) 2019-21: IIFT 2018 cut offs for MBA (IB) admission 2019 are based on the IIFT 2018 exam difficulty level, IIFT scoring pattern, total number of candidates taking the test, and the total intake in the three campuses of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). The IIFT 2018 exam analysis reveals that the exam has remained at Moderate to high difficulty level. The expected IIFT cut offs for MBA (IB) 2019-21 are:
IIFT 2018 Exam: Overall Cut Offs
It is expected that the IIFT 2018 cut offs for MBA (IB) admission 2019 will be somewhere between 33-36 marks out of 100. However, the shortlisting by IIFT will depend upon the section cut offs. If a candidate does not clear the sectional cut off, he/she will not be considered for shortlisting by IIFT for any of its three campuses
Although IIFT does not shortlist the candidates campus wise, the expected overall cut offs for each of the three IIFT campuses may remain as under:

IIFT conducted its own paper based entrance exam on December 2, 2018 for admission to MBA (IB) 2019-21 at its Delhi, Kolkata and the Kakinada campus in Andhra Pradesh having total intake of 420 students. IIFT 2018 exam result will be declared in in the last week of December 2018 or the first week of January 2019. On the basis of their performance in IIFT entrance exam and with the help of IIFT Percentile predictors, candidates would start looking for the cut offs at the IIFT campuses. The difficulty level in the exam will decide the cut offs at all the 3 campuses of IIFT.
Going by the past trends, cut offs are higher for Delhi campus followed by Kolkata and Kakinada campuses. The cut offs could go up or down in accordance with the difficulty level in the exam. For General Category candidates cut offs may remain in the range of 32-36 marks out of 100.
Cut offs for MBA(IB) 2018-20
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) conducted its own paper based entrance exam on December 3, 2017 for admission to MBA (IB) 2018-20 at its Delhi, Kolkata and the new Kakinada campus in Andhra Pradesh.
With the declaration of IIFT 2017 exam result, candidates had started looking for the cut offs at the IIFT campuses. This year IIFT entrance exam was found more difficult than last year. Therefore, the cut offs at different campuses have also gone down. Overall IIFT score cut offs for General category candidates remained between 37 to 41 marks out of 100 as against 47-48 last year.

IIFT shortlists the candidates more than 5 times of the intake at its different campuses. Accordingly, the cut offs with intake and number of candidates shortlisted are shared as under:
