Subject: Introduction of Negative Marking in CET 2027
This is to inform all aspiring candidates that, after careful evaluation of recent examination trends, a significant change is being introduced in the CET 2027 examination pattern.
It has been observed that certain strategic approaches have enabled students to gain an undue advantage by significantly increasing their scores. In particular, methods such as the “G Strategy” have allowed score improvements of up to 25 marks through intelligent guessing.
In order to maintain fairness and ensure a more accurate assessment of candidate ability, the following changes will be implemented.
Revised Marking Scheme:
- +1 mark for every correct answer
- -0.25 mark for every incorrect answer
Candidates are advised to adjust their preparation and test-taking strategies accordingly.
