The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell issued a circular (No. 2492) on 19 October 2026 warning students and parents about misleading information on social media.
The Cell says dates for the 2027 CET exams, application deadlines and results being shared online — including on a YouTube podcast — are not official. It has not announced them yet.
It also warns against anyone promising to change exam centres, increase percentiles or offer other unauthorised services.
The Cell has set up an independent task force to monitor social media and take legal action. A legal notice has already been sent to one YouTube channel asking it to remove its video and clarify, with copies to Google India.
Students and parents can report misleading posts, with links and screenshots, to socialmedia.complaints@mahacet.org. Only complaints sent to this address will be formally considered.
What it means for you: trust only notices on the official CET Cell website for MBA CET dates, results and CAP rounds. Nobody can change your centre or raise your percentile — anyone offering that is not genuine.
This is a warning about misinformation. It does not change any MBA CET date, eligibility rule or admission deadline.
