Maharashtra plans two attempts for all CETs; MBA/MMS already follows the system

Minister announces expansion of two-attempt CET system; course-wise official details awaited.

Maharashtra plans to extend the two-attempt CET system to all courses covered by the State CET Cell, according to a Times of India report quoting Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil.

Would you take both MBA CET attempts?

What changes? The expansion would bring courses such as BBA/BMS, law, nursing and BEd under the two-attempt arrangement, giving candidates another opportunity to improve their performance.

What this means for MBA aspirants MBA/MMS CET already offered two attempts in 2026. The announcement concerns extending the system to other CETs; it should not be presented as the first introduction of two attempts for MBA CET.

What remains to be confirmed A course-wise official notice confirming the new implementation details was not located during this check. Dates, registration rules and score-selection rules for the upcoming MBA/MMS cycle should be taken from its official CET Cell notice when available.
