IIM Indore will adopt a three-stage selection process (i) Eligibility criteria (ii) Shortlist for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) (iii) Final Selection. Selection criteria for each of the stages are mentioned as below: 1. CAT 2015 Scores –Sectional and Overall scores All applicants who apply for two-year PGP at IIM Indore must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned in CAT 2015 advertisement and also the following minimum sectional percentile and overall percentile scores in CAT 2015. Those applicants meeting the above criteria will only be considered for the Stage-2 of the selection process. The overall and sectional cutoff is provided in the table below as per which students will be shortlisted for next round of selection process. 2. Shortlist for WAT and PI The candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in Stage 1 will only be considered for this stage of shortlisting for WAT and PI. Sufficient number of candidates for WAT and PI for each category (General, NC-OBC, SC, ST and DA) will be shortlisted using the merit list generated based on Composite Score (CS). Below table shows the Computation of Composite Scores, Components Score 10th Standard/SSC Scores 36% [Z candidate – Z min/Z max – Z min] 12th Standard/HSC Scores 40% [Z candidate – Z min/Z max – Z min] CAT 2015 Overall Score 21% [Candidate’s CAT Overall Score / Highest CAT Overall Score] Gender Diversity Factor (GDF) 3% for Female Applicants 0 for others Composite Score Sum of the Above Scores (Max 100) Note: Zcandidate, Zmin, Zmax for 10th and 12th Standard are computed using the normalisation process. Compared to last year’s admission criteria, this year, IIM Indore has increased the scores of 10th and 12th standard from 35 to 36 and 40 respectively. CAT score weightage has been decreased to 21 from 27 last year. Candidates short-listed for WAT and PI will be intimated in the month of January 2016. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are not shortlisted for WAT and PI. IIM Indore conducts admission interviews in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi only. Candidates shortlisted for WAT and PI at Stage-2 must have to attend both WAT and PI, otherwise they will be not be considered for the next stage of selection process, i.e final selection. 3. Final Selection The candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in Stage 2 will only be considered for the final selection. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Final Composite Score (CS) as mentioned in the table below- Computation of Final Composite Score Components Score 10th Standard/SSC Scores 17.5 * [Z candidate – Z min/Z max – Z min] 12th Standard/HSC Scores 17.5 * [Z candidate – Z min/Z max – Z min] Bachelor Degree Scores 15% WAT Score 15% PI Score 35% Composite Score =Sum of the above Scores (Max 100) As per Government of India reservation norms, 15% per cent and 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) candidates respectively meeting IIMI’s admission requirements; 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer – other backward classes (NC-OBC) candidates meeting IIMI’s admission requirements.
