INDUCTIONS ARE DIFFERENT PATTERN OF FUN ACTIVITIES EXECUTED AT DIFFERENT BUSINESS SCHOOLS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THIS ARTICLE IS TO GIVE YOU AN TEASER TO WHAT ACTUALLY INDUCTIONS ARE

1) Business Plans:

A business plan is a formal written document containing business goals, the methods on how these goals can be attained, and the time frame within which these goals need to be achieved. It also describes the nature of the business, background information on the organization, the organization’s financial projections, and the strategies it intends to implement to achieve the stated targets. In its entirety, this document serves as a road map that provides direction to the business


2) Ice Breaker – One Minute Games:

An icebreaker is a facilitation exercise intended to help members of a group begin the process of forming themselves into a team. Icebreakers are commonly presented as a game to “warm up” the group by helping the members to get to know each other. They often focus on sharing personal information such as names, hobbies, etc.


3) Group Activities:

Group Activity is a form of voluntary association of members benefiting from cooperative learning, that enhances the total output of the activity than when done individually. It aims to cater for individual differences, develop skills (e.g. communication skillscollaborative skills, critical thinking skills), generic knowledge and socially acceptable attitudes or to generate conforming standards of behavior and judgement, a “group mind”

A presentation is the process of presenting a topic to an audience. It is typically a demonstration, introduction, lecture, or speech meant to inform, persuade, inspire, motivate, or to build good will or to present a new idea or product.[1] The term can also be used for a formal or ritualized introduction or offering, as with the presentation of a debutante. Presentations in certain formats are also known as keynote


5) Stress Assignments:

It is a kind of activity where you are made to tackle pressure by asking an individual to complete about 40 – 50 mini assignments in 1 week. These assignment are more or less related to your studies. There are also fines charged if an individual is found doing plagiarism and if the assignments are not submitted on time.

6) Hold your bladder:

This is a one of its kind of induction activity in a popular b school in India wherein your a locked inside an fully air conditioned room for about 6 hours and not allowed to relieve yourself in between, The reason behind this is to encourage a habituation of such situations in a corporate world where you are required to attend long meetings without an break.

7) Off Digital – No phone all day:

This is a kind rule obligated in a certain b school in which you have to switch off your smart phone for the entire day and focus on practical world. This helps us overcome our addiction to technology, avoid distraction and detox ourselves from our dependence on smartphones.

8) Formal Strict Dressing:

Some business schools have formal dress code mandatory as part of their induction program. This also is to appreciate the fact that one has to mostly dress up in formals in office environment and building dressing skills from now on helps one have a easy insight to formal dress coding.


9) Case studies:

case study is a research method involving an up-close, in-depth, and detailed examination of a particular case. For example, a case study in medicine may examine a specific patient a doctor treated, and a case study in business might study a particular firm’s strategy. Generally, a case can be nearly any unit of analysis, including individuals, organizations, events, or actions.

10) Induction Freshers Party:

This event is organised by second year students to have a good communication with the juniors and to welcome the juniors in their college. This event will have a full day party program in a hotel or some big hall. Juniors will have to perform and show their talents. At the end of the party seniors will give the tag of Mr. Fresher and Mrs. Fresher to the best performer of the day


11) Study Projects:

study of a particular subject done over a period of timeespecially by students is what stands for study projects , these are an innovative method of student collaborative study


12) Cultural Events:

There are a lot of cultural events and Inter B school Competitions organized providing the students a chance to showcase their enthusiasm and talent and win lucrative cash prizes and accolades. All these sessions are organized with the aim of honing students caliber.
