GMAC has extended the registration and slot-scheduling deadline for NMAT 2026 to 31 October 2026, according to its official Important Dates & Fees page, which was checked on 26 October. The page previously listed 25 October for both registration and scheduling. The exam window itself is unchanged: candidates can sit NMAT between 2 November and 20 December 2026, and the rescheduling deadline remains 17 December 2026. The registration fee is ₹3,000 plus applicable taxes, as currently listed by GMAC.
Have you completed NMAT 2026 registration and slot booking?
Students who missed the earlier cutoff should check the GMAC registration portal rather than assume the window is closed. GMAC notes that exam dates, centres and slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so an extended deadline does not guarantee a preferred test centre or slot.
Why it matters
NMAT is the entrance test for full-time, on-campus MBA, MMS and PGDM programmes. Paying GMAC for the test does not complete a business school application. NMIMS and other participating colleges require their own applications and fees. NMIMS's full-time MBA portal also lists 31 October 2026 for its university application. The dates match, but it is a separate process.
What to do now
Confirm that GMAC registration is open, register and book an available NMAT slot by 31 October, and save the confirmation. Then complete any separate college application you intend to submit.
