The university's portal does not provide a separately dated notice identifying when the extension was authorised.

This development concerns applications to NMIMS's full-time, two-year MBA programmes for the 2027 intake. The official admissions page lists its core MBA at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Indore, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. It also lists full-time specialised programmes including MBA Human Resources, Pharmaceutical Management, Business Analytics and Digital Transformation at Mumbai. Students should check programme-specific eligibility requirements rather than assuming that every specialisation accepts the same academic background.
Important: an NMIMS college application and NMAT by GMAC exam registration are different steps. As checked on 26 October, GMAC's official timetable still shows NMAT 2026 registration and test scheduling ending on 25 October 2026. The new NMIMS college-application date therefore must not be reported as a fresh extension of the NMAT exam-registration window.
Candidates who already have a valid NMAT by GMAC registration should return to the NMIMS MBA admissions site, use its Step 2 application route, sign in with their NMAT by GMAC ID, select eligible programmes and campuses, complete the separate NMIMS application payment, and save the submission acknowledgement. NMIMS explicitly states that Step 1 alone does not complete an application; Step 2 must also be submitted.
The date now visible on the official NMIMS website is 31 October 2026. Because no separate dated announcement has been located, the exact announcement timestamp remains unverified. Applicants should treat the college's current official portal as the authoritative source for the application stage, and separately confirm their GMAC exam-registration status.
