The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, has released its admission prospectus for the full-time MBA 2027–29 batch. Admission is through CAT 2026 only. Candidates who have not taken CAT 2026 will not be considered.
Applying to FMS Delhi this year?
The application fee is ₹1,000, and ₹350 for SC, ST and PwD candidates. Applications are made online on the FMS admissions portal. The programme fee is about ₹65,075 per semester, subject to revision.
Eligibility is a bachelor's degree after 12 years of schooling with at least 50% marks for the unreserved category (45% for OBC non-creamy layer, EWS, PwD and CW; pass marks for SC and ST). Final-year students can apply if they meet the criteria when results are declared. Foreign nationals apply through the University's foreign students route with a GMAT score of 650 or a GRE score of 320.
How FMS shortlists
Shortlisting uses a weighted CAT 2026 score: 40% VARC, 30% DILR and 30% Quant. Women candidates get 5 extra marks at this stage.
Final selection weights are: weighted CAT score 50%, Class X marks 10%, Class XII marks 10%, discussion on the Statement of Purpose 10%, extempore 5% and personal interview 15%. Class X and XII marks earn 5% for 60% to under 75%, and the full 10% at 75% and above.
Why it matters
VARC carries the biggest weight in the FMS shortlist. Every extra mark in Verbal lifts your FMS score more than the same mark in DILR or Quant.
What to do now
Check the last date on the FMS admissions portal and apply before it. Keep your Class X and XII mark sheets ready and start drafting your Statement of Purpose.
