KOLKATA: The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has put out the admission procedure for overseas candidates applying to its two-year MBA for the 2027–29 batch. Selection rests on an equivalent CAT 2026 score, the Personal Interview, academic diversity and work experience.
Overseas status covers Indian citizens living abroad between 15 December 2025 and 1 February 2027. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50 per cent marks or an equivalent grade; the bar is 45 per cent for SC, ST and PwBD Indian citizens.
On the GMAT, the institute asks for an overall score of at least 735, with a minimum of 89 in each of Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Data Insights. Only scores from a test centre count; at-home online scores are not accepted, and a GMAT taken before 1 February 2026 is not valid.
The application deadline is 1 February 2027, and interviews are tentatively planned for February to April 2027. The application fee is USD 150. Final-year students must submit a provisional joining certificate by 30 June 2027 and final mark sheets by 30 September 2027. For reference, the total course fee for the previous batch was USD 65,000 over two years, including hostel.
The page does not list the numeric weights of each selection stage; those sit in the main admission policy for domestic candidates.
## What to do now - Check that your GMAT was taken at a test centre on or after 1 February 2026 and clears 735 overall and 89 in each section. - Note 1 February 2027 as the application deadline and plan references and documents ahead of it. - Domestic CAT takers should read the separate admission policy for the stage-wise weightage.
