CAT 2026 Response Sheet
How to download your CAT 2026 response sheet responses and calculate your score.
CAT Exam Date November 29, 2026 tentative Answer Key Release Early December 2026 tentative Result Declaration Last week December 2026 / Early January 2027 tentative Tentative dates are expected dates. Only the official notice is final.
- Open iimcat.ac.in and go to the candidate login.
- Sign in with your registration user ID and password.
- Open the response sheet or answer key link when it is live. The response sheet lists the answers you marked; the answer key lists the correct answers.
- Download both and keep them. If the exam body opens a window to raise objections, it announces that along with the answer key.
Compare each answer you marked with the answer key. Add marks for each correct answer and subtract the negative marks for wrong ones, exactly as the marking scheme in the official instructions says.
Your raw score becomes a percentile only after the exam body compares all candidates, so treat your own calculation as an estimate until the result is out.
What is a response sheet?
It is the record of the answers you marked in the exam. The answer key lists the correct answers. Together they let you check your own score.
When will the CAT 2026 response sheet be released?
The answer key and response sheet date on our records is Early December 2026 (tentative). The exam body confirms it on the official site.
How do I download it?
Log in on the official site, iimcat.ac.in, with your registration user ID and password, and open the response sheet or answer key link when it is live.
How do I calculate my score?
Match your marked answers with the answer key, add marks for correct answers and subtract the negative marks for wrong ones, as the marking scheme in the official instructions says.
Can I raise an objection to an answer?
Some years the exam body opens a short window to raise objections. If it does, the notice comes with the answer key on the official site, so read it as soon as the key is out.
Will my own score match the final result?
The raw score should be close. The final result can differ because of any change to the answer key after objections, and because percentile depends on all candidates.
