Answer: D official key

Approach: A mirror image swaps left and right; then allow rotation.

Solution:
Problem figure: beaker with its graduation marks right of centre and the large bubble on the left above the mouth.
Mirror image: marks move to the left of centre and the large bubble to the right.
The official key takes option D — the beaker tipped so that its mouth and bubbles point to the upper right — as this mirrored figure.
C is the problem figure itself and is rejected at once.

Note: When D is turned back upright, its marks are still right of centre with the large bubble on the left, the same as the original. Option E, turned back upright, has the marks on the left and the large bubble on the right, so strictly E is the rotated mirror image. The official key is D.

Answer: D

Official CET key: D · Cetking's answer: A — see why below

Approach: Mirror image (left–right swap), then allow rotation.

Solution:
Problem figure: panda facing right, legs down. Going clockwise from the head: head → legs → rump → back.
Mirror image: panda facing left; clockwise order becomes head → back → rump → legs.
Option D: head upper-left, back upper-right, rump lower-right, legs lower-left → clockwise head → back → rump → legs ✓. It is the mirror image, rotated.
A, B, C, E keep the original clockwise order, so they are only rotations of the panda.

Cetking shortcut: Fix one feature (the head) and read the others clockwise — a mirror reverses that order; rotation never does.

Official CET key: C · Cetking's answer: A — see why below

Approach: Any reflection (left–right or top–bottom) counts as a mirror image; rotations of the original do not.

Solution:
Problem: fish bowl with water at the top, fish on the left, castle on the right, dark base below.
Option C: the bowl reflected top-to-bottom — dark band on top, fish still on the left, castle still on the right, water line below. A reflection in a horizontal mirror is a mirror image, and here it is not rotated → C ✓.
A, B, D, E: the fish and castle keep the original clockwise order around the bowl — they are only rotations.

Cetking shortcut: Read features clockwise (fish → castle → base); a mirror reverses the order, a rotation keeps it.

Answer: C

If a clock shows the time as 11:15, then what will be the time shown by its mirror image ?
Figure for MBA CET 2026 Slot 4 question 93
  1. 11 : 40
  2. 9 : 45
  3. 7 : 35
  4. 12 : 45
  5. 10 : 45

Official CET key: D · Cetking's answer: E — see why below

Approach: Mirror time = 11:60 − actual time (for times between 1:00 and 11:59).

Solution: 11:60 − 11:15 = 0:45, which is shown as 12:45.
The figure confirms it: the hour hand near 11 reflects to near 1, the minute hand at 3 reflects to 9 → about 12:45.

Why the other options are wrong: E comes from the wrong subtraction (11:60 − 1:15 = 10:45); A, B and C have no connection with the reflection.

Cetking shortcut: Subtract from 11:60; if the result's hour is 0, write 12.

  5. Option E

Answer: B

Approach: Mirror image (mirror on the right) — order reverses and each character flips left–right; top and bottom stay.

Solution: Figure: 6 4 E K P C 9 2.
The image reads 2 9 C P K E 4 6 from left to right, with every character laterally inverted.
Option B is the only one where all eight characters are correctly reversed.

Why the other options are wrong: A: P and C are not flipped. C: K is not flipped. D: P is turned upside down (that is a water-image effect, not a mirror image). E says 'cannot be determined', but option B is a valid mirror image.

Cetking shortcut: Check the asymmetric letters first (P, K, E, 4) — one wrong letter eliminates the option.

Answer: B

Choose the correct mirror-image of the Figure (X) from amongst the four alternatives (a), (b), (c) and (d) given along with it. If the correct mirror-image of the Figure (X) is not there in the given alternatives (a), (b), (c) and (d), then choose option (e) None of these.

Show answerHide answer

Answer: C

Approach: Mirror image — left and right swap; up and down stay.

Solution:
(X): zig-zag line with a small circle on its top bar, two pins (circle on a stick) on the right, and an arrow pointing right at the bottom.
Mirror image: the zig-zag reverses, the pins move to the left, the circle stays on the top bar, and the arrow points left.
Option (c) shows all of these.

Why the other options are wrong:
(a): missing the circle on the top bar.
(b), (d): arrow still points right.
